AL-MAQĀṢID: The International Journal of Maqāṣid Studies and Advanced Islamic Research is an open access journal, committed to making high-quality research freely accessible and reusable to scholars, students, and the public worldwide.

Open Access Statement
All articles published in AL-MAQĀṢID are made available **immediately upon publication without any paywalls or subscription fees**. Readers are free to access, download, share, and use the content for non-commercial purposes in accordance with the license terms below.

License Terms – Creative Commons (CC BY-NC)
Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial (CC BY-NC) license. This license allows others to:
- Copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format.
- Remix, transform, and build upon the material.

As long as:
- Appropriate credit is given to the original author(s) and the Journal.
- The use is non-commercial in nature.
- Any derivative works also acknowledge the original source.

Author Copyright
Authors retain full copyright over their articles. Upon submission and acceptance, authors grant the Journal a non-exclusive license to publish and distribute the work under the CC BY-NC terms. This means:

Clarification on Website and Content Rights
Any copyright notice such as “All rights reserved” that appears on the Journal’s website refers only to the website’s design, layout, and system. It does not apply to published article content. All published articles are subject to the CC BY-NC license and are clearly marked as such on the article page.

Third-Party Content and Permissions
Authors are responsible for securing permissions to use any copyrighted materials (e.g., figures, tables, images) not originally created by them. Proper attribution must be provided in all cases.
