This is the second issue of fouth volume of AL-MAQĀṢID Journal. Articles are authored/co-authored by authors from different affiliations, different countries including the Republic of Mauritius, New Zealand, and Malaysia. It includes a selection of articles and short communications exploring various aspects of Maqāṣid Sharīʿah (the objectives of Islamic law) and contemporary issues. The issue features the article "Waqf Based Crowdfunding for University Students: A Maqasidic Perspective," which examines the use of waqf-based crowdfunding as a financial support mechanism for university students, analyzed through the Maqāṣid Sharīʿah framework. Another article, "Alternatif Ganjaran Seumpama Pahala Ibadat Haji dan Umrah Era Pandemik COVID-19: Suatu Analisis Awal" (Alternative Rewards Similar to the Reward of Hajj and Umrah During the COVID-19 Pandemic: An Initial Analysis), explores alternative ways to attain rewards similar to those of Hajj and Umrah in the context of the ongoing pandemic. "Sumpah Nafy Al-'Ilmi Menurut Undang-Undang Keterangan Islam Di Malaysia" (Oath of Nafy Al-'Ilmi According to Islamic Evidence Law in Malaysia) investigates the legal implications and applications of the oath of Nafy Al-'Ilmi within Malaysian Islamic evidence law. Lastly, "Parameter al-Dhariʿah Menurut Perspektif Syariʿah" (The Parameters of al-Dhariʿah from a Sharīʿah Perspective) delves into the concept of al-Dhariʿah and its parameters within Islamic law. Additionally, the issue includes Short Communications titled "Halal Certification and Food Security Challenges during the COVID-19 Pandemic," which addresses the challenges of halal certification and food security amid the pandemic. Additionally it also features a Short Communication on "Halal Healthcare: An Industry Perspective," discussing the current state and industry perspective of halal healthcare.
